Madison’s dangerous journey comes to its final conclusion as she and the other Berserkers set out to bind the last of the free Havocs. The words in Mallika’s final letter take on a terrible meaning when she discovers that the Berserker magic has become corrupted, and the rules of her world are turned upside down. The magical corruption creates a rift in the Binder Council – some see Madison as the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, and others as a threat that must be eliminated. Friendship and loyalty will be tested, and Madison must fight to survive long enough to learn the true origins of the Berserkers and Havocs. Nothing is achieved without a price, and the choices Madison makes will forever change the fate of the world.

I have been patiently waiting for this 3rd and final book. And I was not disappointed. It's hard to write a review without giving away too much but I'll do my best. I warned people of spoilers just in case I can't keep my mouth shut.

It was difficult to lose so many beloved characters throughout the series and the finale brought on more death. It's the literary theme of "out with the old and in with the new," so I understood why it needed to happen. But I don't have to like it. I'm only sort of kidding, Mr. Williams. :)

I thought Madison handled the deaths of her friends realistically as a teenager stretched to her limits would. She has always been an authentic character. About halfway through, I had an idea of what would happen with Rhys and I wasn't disappointed. I knew Madison had to be left someone!

I was surprised with the identity of the Havocs and their conception, and it worked for me. For some people it might not, but I liked the way the author reinvented an old story. It was fascinating to me to make the connections through the names and old myths. I liked how it all unfolded.

Brant Williams is a great storyteller and Madison had a great voice throughout the series. Very real, believable and likeable.

I'm excited to see what else this new author will have for us fans!

Bonds That Break The Havoc Chronicles Volume 3 Brant Williams 9781502846259 Books Reviews

Well, I just finished the last book. Thank you Brant Williams. Do you see these reviews?? Well, I loved, loved, loved the entire trilogy. I got several other people hooked. I want to thank my wonderful husband who brought me breakfast in bed to facilitate my reading and my 2 wonderful children who cleaned the entire house while I read! Can I talk about the ending? Let me just say that I'm glad I saw those 2 movies about Thor and had the background to understand the ending.
It took me a long time to read this series. Not because I had a hard time getting into it, but because I suffer from depression and my love of reading escaped me for several years. I had read the first two books in this series before that awful time. Now, I have read all three books. These are the first three books I have read in over three years. For the first time, in way too long, I have been able to escape into the marvelous realm of reading, and for this, I want to personally thank Mr. Brant Williams for writing such an enjoyable and satisfying trilogy. As for a review, well, what more can I say?
This trilogy was very good! I really had a hard time putting it down. I was really interested in knowing what would happen with the characters. It's not just a fantasy story it's a love story, but then there's monsters to battle and how the main character learns to deal with her powers.

The first book was a free one, but after I read that I had to buy the rest to find out what would happen. Would the world end? Or did they save it? I would recommend this to anyone, adult or teen.
I was very excited to read the final book in the Havoc Chronicles and I was not dissapointed... until... the ending. I was completely engulfed in reading it until I found out who the mystery man and Havocs really were. The book was very creative until that part. I think that the writer could have used a little more creativity there instead of taking the easy road of current box office movies. Anywho, other than that I really liked the books and I would recommend them to others to read as well as read more books by this author.
I hate to rate this so low, because I liked the first two books, but ugh. Wth happened to this cool monster fighting kick ass series? There was just SO much going on in this book, and a lot of it didn't work. Greek mythology and Disney princesses clashed with the Avengers. And Madison was too flighty and silly at times. The world is in your hands and you keep getting distracted by teenage whims. Everyone had an agenda, most of the good guys seemed to be bad guys. It was hard to keep track of who to root for or trust. I was kind of with it until the woodland creatures helped bring the harbinger of death and destruction into their world. Say what?
I must admit I have never been that fond of books of the fantasy genre, but I do admire the incredible imagination and creativity it takes to write such remarkable stories. When I began this trilogy, I had no idea what was ahead.

I was immediately drawn to Madison and found myself pulled in and even caring about her and her friends. I guess I learned that I really love books, no matter how fantastic the story, as long as they are well written, I care about the characters, and the action keeps me going. I especially could not put down the last book. I really enjoyed how the author was able to weave his own imaginative characters with mythological ones. I did find myself thinking he could write a book of any genre because he can just tell a darn good story. Great read!
I enjoy books with strong female protagonists, and Madison is high on that list. I admit, I did tire of her sappy tirades about Rhys, but that is how teenage love is, so I'll let it slide.
I especially enjoyed the inclusion of Norse mythology. After so many series using the more common gods and goddesses, it was good to "spend quality time" with a set of gods who are less familiar to me.
And finally, thank you for an ending that was meant to be closure. It seems many author's endings can be translated as, "I ran out of time/ I lost interest/I was brain dead" because the ending drops. This actually had an ending that allowed you to close the story and feel complete.
